A Free Zety Alternative With PDF and DOCX Downloads
This is our own comparison page — we sell the alternative, so read it as such. Every Zety figure below is dated and sourced from Zety’s own pricing and terms; check them before you rely on either column.
Is Zety free? What to verify before downloading
Building on Zety is free. Downloading a usable file is not: Zety’s free (Basic) tier exports plain text only. Its paid access starts with a 14-day trial priced at $1.95 that converts automatically to $25.95 billed every four weeks — thirteen charges a year, not twelve — unless cancelled in time. Verify the current figures on zety.com’s pricing page and terms before starting a build you cannot finish for free.

Where Zety may suit you better
Honestly: Zety’s template gallery is larger, its phrase library is deep, and if you want a design-forward resume for a human-only audience and are happy to manage a subscription, it is a polished product. Our bet is narrower — three ATS-safe templates, everything free, diagnostics in the open.
How to move your resume into this builder
Copy the text of your existing resume (from the TXT export or the document itself) and paste it into the wizard’s Import an existing resume box — it sorts into fields in your browser. Or paste it into the free ATS checker first and fix what it flags as you rebuild.
